Richards was raised in Downers Grove to an engineer father and a coffee shop's owner mother. She grew up with her twin sister Michelle at Downers Grove as well as Mokena. El Camino High School in Downers Grove North High School provided her with a high school education. Her first job was as a professional model following her graduation from high school. Then she went to a variety of notable cities, such as Paris, Tokyo and New York in order to participate in commercials, photo shoots, etc. Later, she ventured into acting.
