Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole daughter from Richard McCormick, and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. The mother of the child was home as a mother. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three older brothers. McCormick started dancing and singing from a young age, and would often perform show-like puppets in front of the kids in her community. She was crowned in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was then contacted through Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to join the business of show production. Her first major role came in 1964 where she was featured in a commercial on TV for Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in the year 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the main character in the play Wind It up and It breaks, a production in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won an audition in 1969 from over more than 1200 children to become the youngest of three twins in The Brady Bunch TV program The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed together with Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick stated in her book from 2008 Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost losing her virginity in the fifth season of the show in the presence of Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. He was just 19. She was just 16. She told me that it could be possible, however we didn't have the proper time to do it.
